Named for a poisonous plant found only in Scotland, Circe turned out to be a bit too much like the plant. Independent, stubborn and sometimes just downright nasty, she was a handful of a dog to train. I still think of her as the most beautiful dog I've ever owned, and a fine example of what makes a good Border Collie. She had more "eye" than you might like on sheep, and it got her in trouble in obedience. She was Hawaii's first Border Collie TD, and won a couple of High in Trials in obedience competition.
Circe's offspring have done well in obedience(1 OTCh, many other titles), herding, agility, and tracking (three TDs and a TDX). Circe is the foundation bitch for Conant's Border Collies.
